Derma Stamp for Scar Reduction

The Derma Stamp is an advanced skincare tool designed to enhance your skin’s natural healing process. It uses precision stamping by gently pressing onto the skin, creating tiny punctures that stimulate your skin’s repair mechanisms.

As the skin heals, it produces increased amounts of collagen and elastin, essential proteins that maintain its youthful and resilient qualities.

Additionally, these micro-injuries enhance the absorption of your favourite serums and skincare products, allowing them to penetrate deeper and boosting their overall effectiveness.

The Derma Stamp is suitable for most skin types and concerns, including acne scars, fine lines, and uneven texture. Our expert team will assess your skin and customise the treatment to suit your specific needs. We are open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday if you would like to book a consultation.

Benefits And Recovery

The Derma Stamp smooths fine lines and wrinkles, allowing you to bid farewell to the signs of ageing and welcome a more youthful appearance. By improving skin texture, it helps diminish uneven texture and enlarged pores.

Additionally, it brightens your skin tone by reducing pigmentation and dullness, achieving a radiant glow. The Derma Stamp also boosts the efficacy of your skincare products, maximising their benefits through enhanced absorption.

Recovery time is minimal, with most patients returning to their regular activities immediately. You may notice some redness for about 2 days. For the best results, we recommend a series of 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart.

The Procedure

Prior To Treatment

A week before your appointment, avoid using retinoids, exfoliants, or products with strong active ingredients, as these can increase skin sensitivity. Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure, as sunburned skin can be more prone to irritation during the procedure. Inform your specialist of any medications or supplements you are taking, especially blood thinners or those affecting skin healing. Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours before the procedure, as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling.

Treatment

During the procedure, your specialist will use a tool with fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates collagen production and can improve skin texture and tone. A topical numbing cream will usually be applied to minimise discomfort. The procedure typically lasts up to 30 minutes.

After Treatment

After the derma stamp treatment, your skin may appear red and slightly swollen. Avoid products with active ingredients, such as retinoids or acids. Refrain from wearing makeup for at least 24 – 48 hours post-procedure to allow your skin to breathe and heal. Use a high SPF sunscreen and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks to prevent pigmentation issues and protect the healing skin. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out. Do not use exfoliating products or devices for at least a week after the procedure to avoid irritation, and stay away from hot environments, such as saunas and steam rooms, for a few days to prevent excessive irritation and sweating.

What To Expect

Your manual Derma Stamp treatment is quick and minimally invasive. Your skin will be cleansed and a numbing cream will be applied for comfort. The Derma Stamp microneedling tool will be gently pressed across your skin, creating tiny micro-injuries. Post-treatment, your skin may appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn. This is normal and should subside within a few hours.

The Results

  • Improves skin texture and tone.
  • Helps diminish the appearance of scars.
  • Younger-looking skin and better elasticity.
  • Minimises pore size, leading to a smoother skin surface.

No, a new derma stamp will be used for each session without fail. This ensures the highest level of hygiene and safety, as each stamp is sterilised and discarded after use to prevent any risk of infection or cross-contamination.

We typically treat only a small area at a time, so any discomfort is generally minimal and very manageable. Most patients find the procedure tolerable, with any sensations of pain being quite mild and easily handled.
